From the Forest Floor

A quiet revolution is taking root on the forest floor of Guyana.

Artisans, rural and Amerindian communities are reclaiming what is left behind from our sustainable forestry practices; tree stumps, abandoned pieces and sawmill off-cuts. These overlooked fragments, once destined for decay or firewood, are being reimagined as objects of beauty and function: furniture, household items, turnery goods and live-edge slabs.

These are not anonymous commodities. There is a traceable narrative for each item, grounded in real places, real people, and a respect for traditional knowledge. Embedded QR codes open digital storybooks, introducing the artisan and confirming the chain of provenance that follows the journey of each piece, from FSC™-certified logs felled within sustainable forestry concessions in Guyana to you.

What we offer

Forest Floor Finds

Naturally fallen or storm-downed trees transformed into unique woodcrafts and slabs.

Sawmill Byproducts

Reclaimed off-cuts and waste given new life through thoughtful design and skilled hands.

Lunar Harvested Slabs

Timber felled during the dark moon phase, following ancestral forestry wisdom for stronger, more stable wood.

The project is ambitious in its commitments: it centers small community and women-led forestry enterprises; invests in training and capacity-building for rural producers; and adheres to a no-deforestation model that prioritizes natural regeneration and the use of lesser-known species.

At its core is a relationship with the land and its knowledge-keepers. Amerindian communities, whose stewardship spans generations, apply traditional wisdom to the harvest. Felling trees only during specific lunar cycles and hand cutting logs into slabs in the forest before they are transported to our drying hub in Linden.

Sustainability & Certification

All products are harvested in line with FSC™ standards, with respect for natural regeneration and carbon-positive practices. Each piece supports Reduced Impact Logging and community-driven forests

Crafted in Community

From indigenous woodworkers to women-led forestry business, this collection uplifts local talent and honours the stories of the Guiana Shield.
